Kate Thon

As an educational leader in the Grande Prairie area, Kate Thon is passionate about programming that supports individuals. Kate has taught extensively in agriculture and is known to value programs that maximize the use of green space, help youth connect with nature, and emphasize socially responsible behaviours. While completing her graduate studies, Kate’s research culminated in the work titled “Skill Development Through Equine Interactions: A Pathway Toward Connection for At-Risk Youth.” Kate is honoured to serve as a Director/Secretary and share her perspective and voice as a teacher, principal, and horse welfare advocate in support of PARDS’ mission.
