Dear PARDS supporters,

As you are aware, it is PARDS number one priority to provide affordable and innovative therapeutic services to members of the Peace Area community living with special needs. In order to accomplish this goal, it is necessary for PARDS to secure funding from outside sources through donations, sponsorships and fundraising events.

If you are a Facebook user or willing to be one for a short time period here's how you can help by taking only a few seconds out of your day! Please be advised that PARDS has no control over the use of Facebook for this fundraising venture. We are simply recipients of a charitable effort that uses Facebook.

PARDS has been nominated as a deserving charity in The APX Givesback Project. Through this project, the public will decide which eligible charity will receive $100,000 or $30,000 this summer. Here is how it works:

1) Between June 14 and August 21, 2010, Facebook users from across the country are invited to nominate local charities in their communities deserving of funding from the APX company and its employees. Now that PARDS has been nominated, you can support PARDS by logging on to www.facebook.com/apxalarm and endorse PARDS. The top 15 charities from each region (four within the US and one representing all of Canada) with the most endorsements proceed into the final voting phase. Supporters will be able to nominate or endorse one charity in each region every day until the Nomination Phase ends on June 12.

We need Facebook users to go online once a day and every day to vote for PARDS.

2) After the initial nomination phase ends on June 12th, from June 14, 2010, through August 21, 2010 final voting begins to determine which charity will receive $100,000. One additional charity from each region will also receive $30,000. You will be able to vote daily. You can or rather must, in order to support PARDS, return and vote once per day until the APX Givesback Project ends on August 21.

3) On August 23, 2010, the winners will be announced! The charity receiving the most votes will be the overall winner and receive $100,000. In addition, 5 other top charities (one per region) will receive $30,000.

PARDS is an organization that changes lives and makes a huge difference in our community for individuals living with disabilities.

We are asking for your support. It's easy and takes next to no time!

Each day, please go to www.facebook.com/apxalarm. This link takes you to the APX Alarm Facebook page. Click on APX Givesback. Click the "like" button at the top of the page to be taken to the voting page. Click "click to start nominating and voting". Go to PARDS and vote.

We are asking for two things.

1. If you could diarize to vote everyday between now and August 23 - PARDS could receive $100,000! These funds would go a long way in helping to support our riders. Winning this contest would mean more riders would be able to access PARDS services.

2. Please forward this email on to your personal, business and Facebook contact lists and ask them to vote for PARDS.
