Nik has been a valued member of the PARDS team since 2019, working as a dedicated barn hand and helping to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both horses and riders. His responsibilities include stall cleaning, filling water buckets, and general barn maintenance, all of which he approaches with care and consistency.
Through his work at PARDS, Nik witnessed firsthand the enjoyment and positive physical benefits riders experienced during their lessons. Inspired by what he saw, he joined the Therapeutic Riding Program himself and has greatly enjoyed becoming a participant.
A lifelong resident of Grande Prairie, Nik has worked for a variety of local businesses and is an active member of the Special Olympics Grande Prairie program, where he participates in bowling, snowshoeing, basketball and floor hockey. He is a dedicated supporter of the Oilers and Grande Prairie Storm teams and enjoys attending hockey games whenever he can.
Known for his friendly nature, willingness to help, and great sense of humour, Nik is a familiar and welcoming presence around the barn. He is especially fond of spending time with his favourite equine friends and is always happy to lend a hand wherever needed.
