Lonni Penner

Lonni has been passionate about horses since her youth, spending years training them and running her own horse training business. Through this journey, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the importance of connection and attunement between humans and horses. Her work emphasizes patience, empathy, and building trust. With a background in education, Lonni also brings valuable experience from her time working in schools, where she supported individual growth in nurturing environments. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, the first step in her journey to becoming a psychologist. This pursuit deepens her commitment to understanding human behavior and enhancing the therapeutic experiences she provides. In addition to her academic and professional experience, Lonni has completed training in crisis intervention, and mental health support. Her training includes topics such as sexual assault, intimate partner violence, self-harm, childhood trauma, grief and loss, Mental Health First Aid, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). This foundation equips her to offer trauma-informed, compassionate care in both her equine work and her future clinical practice.
