Public Riding Summer Programs

Independent Inclusive Mounted Riding

Independent Inclusive Mounted Riding Lessons are for anyone aged 7 and older. The lessons are geared toward many skill levels, from riders with little or no experience with horses to more advanced novice riders. Lessons are facilitated by qualified instructors, and are designed to help riders become comfortable with riding basics enabling progress.  Throughout your session, our goal is to help you progress, perfect your techniques and most importantly, have fun!
Please note: Riders must be able to ride independently. If there is a clinical diagnosis a Physician’s Medical form must be completed.

Session 1 – Wednesdays or Thursdays, July 8 to July 30
Session 2 – Thursdays, August 6 to August 27
Lessons are 45 mins – Max 4 to a group – spaces are limited
$180.00 plus current 2020 PARDS membership

Independent Inclusive Cart Driving

Cart driving is an excellent way to access the benefits of equine therapy. Learning to work with and control a horse as the driver of a cart. (vehicle) Cart driving is where a horse or pony is hitched to a wheeled cart and is driven around an arena, an obstacle course, or out on a trail.

Wednesdays, July 8 to July 29
Lessons are 30 mins each week – spaces are limited
$140.00 plus current 2020 PARDS membership

P’tit Trot

P’tit Trot is an exciting program for children ages 7 years old and up, who love horses and want to learn more about the equestrian world. It is a combination of riding and barn theory. The P’tit Trot program is devoted solely to the initiation of equitation and general horsemanship, allowing children to discover the pleasures of English & Western disciplines as well as an introduction to trail riding and developing proper knowledge on how to care for the horse. (Price includes P’Tit Trot Workbook)

Session 1 – Thursdays, July 9 to July 30
Session 2 – Wednesday’s, August 5 to August 26
Lessons are 60 mins each week – Max 4 to a group – spaces are limited

Independent Advanced Riding Lessons

Designed for advanced riders 12 years of age and  older. Must be able catch and tack independently and able to walk-trot-canter.
Lessons are scheduled on a week to week basis and must be flexible – spaces are limited
Lessons are $60.00 per 45 min lesson plus  current 2020 PARDS membership

Please register and you will be contacted to book your time slot, spaces for all programs are limited.
A PARDS membership fee per rider is required. Annual memberships cover the rider for unlimited programs and sessions

/SEI helmets are available for rent ($10/week) If  providing your own helmet, PARDS adheres to a  5 year from MFG date
